How did you girls do over the holidays? Were you able to stay on track or did you have some hurdles?

How about now, with the holidays being over, are you able to jump back on the train?

Toot toot!!! All Aboard girls!

Because we stayed put this year I was able to stay on track. I worked out every day last week. Which was great. Took the weekend off. Stuffed by face, moderately, and also took to the plan on drinking more water (which did help prevent over indulging), and went back to the gym Dec 26th. Dh and I went together and again yesterday. Had I went home, I'm not sure how I would have managed, however, dh and I usually try and hit the local Y at home once when we're there. EVERYONE is there when we go, so it's like our way of saying "hello" to my home town!! lol

I did ok. I didn't stuff myself; only had one piece of pie. I have not been walking like I should though. I am increasing the water intake. I've also talked a friend of mine into going back to weight watchers w/me.

Ugghhhh! I wish that I didn't overindulge!! When all you eat all week everyweek is ground beef and macaroni and Cheese dishes the first thing that I want to do is eat some decent meal. Luckily every event we went to was only appetizer type meals but the variety was over the top and of course I had to try everything! Naughty me!
I did get my 10 glasses of water in everyday. Dh and I decided to start the weight loss this week. Hopefully, we will stick with it.
Now if I can find a way to get rid of all of these holiday treats that were given to us I will be good!

I did better than I thought I would.I did exersice and I am going to be doing it monday-friday now.I think a pattern is better for me than to say 3 days and week and I am the typed of person that puts it off till the end of the week!!!

I could pass on desserts no problem. The only down fall I had was people give you boxes of the nice chocolates and I love to pick through them and find the ones I love!

I need to avoid the box of chocolates.

good for you!! if you want to do more, and can do more, and stick to it, than that's great. Some people are just getting started and may have never exercised before so to start with three days a week and the move up to four, is a great accomplishment for them

If you are going to be able to work out 5 days a week (mon-fri) you should challenge yourself to either doing more cardio or more weights. If you are able to etch out that much time to do cardio, that's great, but you might burn out by the end of January!!! I want you to want to stay motivated so try new things; be willing to challenge yourself to do more.

Apple Pie and Banana Pudding were my down fall...BUT...and pat on the back for me....I only had 1 serving of each...I did not go back for more...til the next day I'm heading out to my parents for the weekend, but I will keep up the walking...my jeans are now baggy and I want them falling off! That's my incentive right now!

I've managed to get to the gym four days this week...did at least 30 minutes of cardio each day! I've indulged a bit, but in moderation.
