I was at my mom's group yesterday and we started talking about everyone being sick and one of the older gals there said she came across the mixture below and made it for her kids when they kept being sick. She had them take it and they have not been sick since. My mom tried it yesterday and she said almost immediately she could breathe through her nose and by this morning, she is feeling 100% better. So, I thought that I would share it if anyone wants to try it. The recipe is as follows:

1 clove garlic, pressed
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Mix all ingredients together and drink. (My mom said she added hers to a very small amount of warm water to make it a better consistency to drink.)

The philosophy behind the ingredients is that the cayenne pepper naturally opens up the body and then the garlic cleans all the nasty stuff out. Try it and let me know if it worked for you!!!!

Ya know what, I think I'm going to give this a try today. I've got an awful cold and sore throat. Maybe this will help it. Thanks.

Honey also has antibiotic properties, so it all makes sense. I know I've used garlic oil in my kid's ears when they have ear infections. Clears 'em up right away without antibiotics! And my dh swears that cayenne helped all of the stomach issues he had in college.
