During my first couple days of my cycle I am really really heavy -- I would like to use tampons full time during those couple of days but never have because I'm worried about that thing you can catch from them.

Am I just worried for nothing or can I use them non-stop for a couple of days?

Sorry if this is TMI, I just had to ask! LOL

I remember being told as a young teenager that you can't do that..but I always have anyhow! I asked my ob/gyn years ago, and he said as long as I was changing them often, not letting them just sit up in there, I was fine!

As long as you are changing them often--should be no problem.

If you are really worried--I believe you can get organic one's that don't have the nasty chemicals in them.

Oh my gosh, I never use anything BUT tampons and I am 35 so it hasn't done anything to me yet! Can't stand pads.

you can get Toxic Shock from Pads too. not just Tampons...

my sisters will wear the same one for maybe 3 hours at atime.. I can't wear them at all, cause of my Endo, so I have to waddle around wearing a bulky diaper....

although I see now that there are ladies who where the cloth type pads? have any of you tryed these? I mean I used cloth diapers on Brae, and have to get the poo off with my hands so I can't imagine it being all that much worse...

I think the rule is that you are supposed to change them every 6 hours but I sleep in them too.

That is all I have ever used also. I change them about every hour out of necessity but I think as long as you change it often and use the absorbtion you need then it shouldn't be a problem. I buy the pack that includes Super to Light and use accordingly.

I change my every time I go pee, and that's probably every two hours if not more.
