Anyone want to join me?

I am aching sooooooooo badly in my lower back and joints. I know it's all the pepsi i've been drinking. I'm going to give it up AGAIN. Why do i keep going back to it? It's my drug of choice i guess but i really feel it's destroying my body.

Come on ladies i need a partner.

It's already 4:20 today and i haven't had one. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

Jodie, we drink tons of Fruit 2OH flavored water. It is about all that dh drinks. For me it is alot better than plain water. I can't drink juice or anything sweet.

You already know I can't be your partner in this cause if I don't have my diet pop I will be one crabby mommy!!!

There are calorie free sodas out there. Diet coke with splenda and coke zero are two examples

Most diet drinks are also calorie free. Diet rootbeer doesn't even taste different than regular rootbeer, if you like rootbeer!

By the way, this is not to say "don't give up sodas" this is just to let you know that if you are calorie conscious, you can find better alternatives.

Good luck!

Now do you want to give up caffeine or carbonated drinks? If it is the carbonated drink portion, I will try with you. I already drink only diet drinks, but would probably benefit from giving up carbonated drinks.

I will warn you against Splenda though. It isn't as good for you as everyone wants to think. It is derived from chlorine and gives a lot of people (myself and one of my sons included) pretty severe diarrhea. JMO

I've cut back as much as I possibly can. I allow myself a "treat" of one Pepsi every Thursday night (pizza night at our house). The rest of the time I drink crystal light or lemonade, when I'm not drinking water.

I definately admire you and sometimes wish I could do it but I know I can't. It's my one thing I have. I have given up snacks and sweets. I'm trying very hard to be healthy but must have my Diet Coke. I have cut it to 1 can a day. So for me that's good.

Good luck

Just a question - why does the pop make your back and joints hurt. I've never heard that before. My Dr. Pepper will be pried out of my hands when I die so no chance of me giving it up. I have cut down quite a bit but need my caffeine and sugar combo at least once a day.

Soda depletes our bodies of calcium and the acid in it can harm our muscles. For myself i can physically feel this whenever i drink soda. Especially when i don't watch the amount i consume.

Oh and i haven't had any all day...it's 8:12 pm
