Anyone know someone who has it? I'm curious to know the symptoms they had before being diagnosed; and how different they were from people I know who have it.

CLL (Chronic Lympasitic (sp) Leukemia) is the cancer my aunt has. She had a stem cell transplant and almost died from it. SHe is still not 100% nor will be for awhile. Turns out my grandmother (her mother) was diagnosed with it too, just yesterday. My mom, my aunt's sister, has non hodgkins lymphoma and so now there is a scare that with all three of these women in one family have a form of cancer, it could be genetic. I am freakin' out to say the least. I am going in to have some blood work done, as is my sister and my brother.

I lost a brother to CLL, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in 1989. My Mom had non-Hodgkins lymphoma inn 1980 and she is still alive. I sent you a personal message.
Normally CLL is a slow moving cancer.

CLL is normally a slow progressing disease. Thus why it is called Chronic. That means it cntinues on. They told my brother you could live for 20 years with it. His did not fit the text book cases. He didn't live 2 years after it was DX.

I made an appointment for a COMPLETE physical next week. I was supposed to have it done the other day but the office called and cancelled me for whatever reason. I am now rescheduled for Monday. I am scared out of my mind and am doing everything I can to NOT think about it. Including cleaning my house top to bottom, doing crazy art projects (if you knew me..I'm not the crafty type) and working out sometimes twice a day!!! If there is any pay back to this, it's that I am burning extra calories!!
