Hmmmm. I can't believe my husband & i argued earlier about me going to the gym. He's at work when i go... so what's the prob?... He's kinda mad 'cause the gym we were members of closed, and so now i've gotta drive 9.1 miles further than before (one way). But it can't be just because of that... I'm confused.

My dh is all for it. He's very encouraging that way and has already said that once we get back from our vacation at the end of the month, he's getting us a family membership to the Y. He knows when I get back into shape, my whole physical appearance starts looking better as well as my mental state. I'm a much happier person and as they say: if mama ain't happy, no one is!!!

Could your dh be:

1) concerned about you looking so fly and others at the gym checking you out?
2) concerned about the gas mileage plus the cost of the membership?
3) jealous that you have that time to go and he does not and needs to?
4) doesn't want you to be happy...?

My ex hated when I went to the gym and like you he was at work when I did it. I knew exactly why he had issues - he was suspicious I was either cheating on him or would meet someone with which to cheat. He was the most insecure person I have ever met man or woman.

Maybe he wants to be able to work out with you instead of you going by yourself, since you had memberships together before.

My ex would get mad if I did anything to try and improve myself when we were together but he was a jealous person to begin with..

Maybe you can talk to him about it..
