How involved are you in your church?
My dh and I are both involved with the youth group, dh plays in the praise band, has served on committees, we have both been Sunday School teachers, Dh was also in charge of the Sound Team. We are also involved with the VBS program every year, along with other small programs through out the year.

DH and I are as involved as we can be at the moment. DH helps run the youth group and helps tend the garden at our church (he has a horticulture degree). I am the nursery coordinator. I imagine that when DS gets older we will be more involved in activites that are more directed to children.

I teach the preschool sunday school class two times a month. Dh would like to get involved in a prayer ministry but they have this entire class that you have to do to do that.
We've thought of just forming our own prayer meetings each week out of our home.

We're pretty involved, Dh and I are both on a few committees and we always attend the social events.

My dh plays drums for all the worship bands at church. I am in the nursery once a month, and help teach the Cubbies in Awana on Wed. I am also in a bible study for women, and we are starting a couples bible study on Fri.

We're fairly new to the church we attend. We weren't even sure at first if it was the one for us, however, they do offer PLENTY of ways to get involved and the kids seem to like it too. SO dh and I decided to just jump in and get involved and see what happens.

We helped with a Church Birthday Party (see my BLOG for more details). I have also recently joined a bible study class on Mondays. Dh wants to do more but he's really busy with work and now deployments so he's not really reliable. I gave someone my name to play softball for the church but they started up their season while we were on vacation and I lost the number of the POC since returning. We do want to get more involved, as we were both brought up that way: the church is extension of your home family. So I will have to update you as I know what else we are helping out with!

We attend a very small church, so the opportunities aren't as numerous. I taught preschool Sunday School and directed VBS every year until I got sick and had to step down from those activities. I hope to begin teaching and do VBS again soon. I am also the Treasurer. So, I pay all the bills and handle anything financial. DH is not a born-again Christian and has just recently started attending regularly. He attends regularly now and goes to special events. He helps with anything they ask for (usually manual labor-type things). Needless to say, I am praying hard for his salvation and future involvement!

My church is very small and not alot going on with it right now. I am not as involved in church as I would like to be, but I really don't have much time either. I was on the door greeter list before but I think I'm not on it anymore..

Right now, we are only having church on Sunday mornings right now and it makes it difficult to get involved a whole lot..

Hubby is more involved than I am. He works in Master Club, Teaches junior church once a month, is in the choir, occasionally he subs for some of the sunday school teachers, and he occasionally subs for the ushers. We occasionally pick up people who need rides to church, and help with VBS when his work schedule allows (we only have one car), We go to almost all of the picnic, dinners, and young-married class fellowships. I am the assistant nursery coordinator (sp?), work in the nursery about 3-4 times a month (we go on Wed.). I used to work in Master Club too (kind of like Awana) before the baby. I dropped out of the Choir because it became very obvious that I cannot sing as well as I thought. I know that the Psalms say to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, but I decided to spare the congregation from my noise... and sing only when everyone else is singing.
