Amber, to answer your question about the anti-Christ, I don't speculate. I was raised on the pew and am 42. When I was 12, there was rampant speculation about Henry Kissenger being the anti-Christ. We are not to know the future nor how exactly Christ's return is going to happen or when.
I do not live my life too concerned about the end times. The gospel is being spread at a faster pace than ever before due to our ability to travel and instantaneously deliver information. There is quite a large number of Christians who believe that Christ will not return until Matthew 24:14 is fulfilled, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
"Nations" in this scripture in Greek is ethnos (people or ethnic group). There are literally 1,000's of unreached people groups in the world today. They are being reached by a group of missions organizations working together (The Joshua Project.)
What you believe about the end times depends on whether you agree with this group of Christians on their take on Matthew 24:14 or not. I would say I am very mindful of this, but do not rule out the fact that we see things imperfectly and God is sovereign and often does things we humans find unexpected. However, he Bible is clear that we do not know the exact time. I will think and speculate, but am not rigid into thinking I have THE answer.

If you like this you will love the thread about the Anti-Christ and End times. I didn't start the fire by the way. Even unbelievers have web sites about an anti-christ. If you want to call someone coo coo. How about spelling it correctly.

I prefer a wide belief forum. There is a great website that is for christians, sorry I don't remember the actual name. I don't follow the "I'm a Christain" b/c I think it is more exclusionary than inclusive. I am catholic and there are waaaayyyy too many people who find fault in the way I believe in God, many of them chirstians. I personally think the antichirst will be someone who proclaims to follow God. I have nothing to support this and I do not plan on coming up with any b/c as I said it is my own personal belief, however flawed.

hillbillyhousewife.com has links to conservative christian boards. One is prairiehomemaker or something like that and keepersisters is another. These are very conservative christian boards that could probably answer any questions for baby christians.

You or I one misunderstood the original poster. I don't think she was asking for a christian only forum. You're right...soul searching is for all religions and beliefs. I think she was just looking for one thread where she could share her beliefs with like minded people instead of people making negative comments. Unfortunately she didn't get her wish.

2 quick comments - Amber - no one is claiming you started any "fire" - I don't see any fire or anger in this thread at all. Except maybe you asking me where all my supposed "anger" is coming from. No one said you were "kookoo" - just that the way the thread was going is 'kookoo". Altho that poem response was....puzzling. Attacking spelling is just not nice. Don't go there unless you can guarantee that 100% of all your posts are correct. And the antichrist thread is quite dull, IMO.
Aliadam - you wrote: "I think she was just looking for one thread where she could share her beliefs with like minded people instead of people making negative comments. Unfortunately she didn't get her wish."
I've been thinking about her request in this thread and, you might recall, I wrote that I had no problem with a "pro-god/believers only" thread. Then I got to think about this forum. I have to say most every thread in this section is just that. I never post in prayer requests, bible quote threads, inspiration of the day, etc. Where has my activity been? The thread on the antichrist, the thread on Halloween, the thread I started on the good & moral athiest. In this thread, she simply asked for believers only thread & I said I didn't mind but that since it wasn't a christian board, it might not be really inclusive. If she would just start a prayer thread or something like that, I think she'd get her wish. I posted a thread on atheism and she's all over it with her bible quotes. No difference as far as I can see.

either way for me. thread or forum. If it's okay with Kim, I don't have a problem with it. Personally I think it is very scary to have an only people who believe anything. reminds me too much of Hilter/Bin Ladin and the like.
