What are your traditions? Do you involve your little ones?

We used to have a Yule log at my grandmas (she's from Norway, and still stuck to Norwegian tradition and beliefs of trolls etc), and have a tree. I liked all the Norwegian "pagan" type traditions - Nisse and all that, and I plan on working on remembering all those for our child - I had a lot of fun when I was younger making heart baskets and leaving food in the barn for Nisse.

The line was always a bit blurry between "Christian" Christmas and the Norwegian winter celebrations in our house - mostly leaned to the Norwegian winter stuff, which parallels some of the more pagan things. Lots of fun :D

It's my FIL's birthday, so it used to be a joke that "it was a dark, dark day" when he was born. He's gone now, but we really don't do anything special.
