With my Weight Check! I have been in the process of getting health insurance for myself because dh's insurance would sky rocket if I was added to it. So one of the requirements was to have my height and weight checked. Well I got my bill from the insurance company that everything went through BUT the increase in monthly premium is 40% more because of my weight! I am 4 pounds over the 15% increase and 17 pounds over the rate that I was originally quoted.
I guess I will have to back off of those holiday treats and start exercising. This time I AM GOING TO DO IT!!! I HAVE to do it! It is bad enough that we have been struggling lately and that we have now another bill. But having it go up 40% is even worse.

Holy crap!!!! I did not know insurance cost went by your weight!!! Good thing ours doesn't, or between dh and I, we would be flat out broke

Yeah I had no idea that it went up either. But my insurance agent warned me that they are pretty finicky about certain things. But I really need insurance. I have not been covered since September 2006. I am so uneasy without it.

And this will be a GREAT motivator for me. I will be keeping track in blog. Check it out in my siggy. And if anyone sees me going under, well just give me a little (or big) shove!

I think a financial motivator is sometimes the best motivator! Think about it like winning money (that 40% is your prize when you lose weight and it drops).
