I have no clue what one really is or what it feels like. I just know that I occassionally have a sore butt when going #2 and a few dots of blood.
Now we have a friend who just had surgery to remove his! I had never really heard of such a thing!!
Anyone know?

What you discribe does sound like symptoms of hemroids. Some
other symptoms could be itching in the anal area, pain during bowel movements, sensitive or painful lump(s) on the anus.

Your friends must have been very bad to have to have surgery.

You may want to try some over the counter ointment or tux pads. They helped me when i was experiencing those symptoms.

Here is a link to yahoo health... There are different types...internal and external...this is the link for symptoms and you can go from there
yahoo health

HTH!!! I always got them at the end of my pregnancies and for a few months afterwards....preparation H really helps! Yes, you can have surgery to remove them (when they are very bad), but 2 of my family members had it and they said if they had a choice they would not have had the surgery again!

Thank you! I mean it doesn't really bother me until I do #2 but it does seem to be getting worse or my #2 lately is just bothering it more. I take cod liver oil daily in the hopes of helping it along w/other stuff, maybe I'll just take more fiber to help them along better. TMI sorry but thanks for the info!
