I thought this may be interesting to see how many of us have tried different denominations before settling on our faith!

ETA: this was meant to be a multiple answer poll. Sorry!!!!!! I don't want to delete it and start over (yes, I'm lazy...it's almost my bedtime!)

I was brought up in the military where we went to a general Protestant chapel service. I was raised Missouri Synod Lutheran. I went to a Baptist church for a while as a child and I am a member of an Evangelical Lutheran Church. I currently do not go to any church. I moved about 1.5 years ago and have not found a church here that I like. (I did not care for any of the Lutheran ones) BTW, there are many different synods of Lutheran that are actually quite different from each other.

I grew up Catholic. Then I decided to become a non denominational christian because I believe there should only be Gods Rules and not mans when it comes to God.

Episcopalian, Wesleyan for years, then went with friends to various churches like Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Unitarian, and some others I can't remember, then tried wicca and paganism, and finally settled on a loose interpretation of Buddhism. I've read and spoken with folks about Hindu, Muslim, and even Satanism (that was interesting - not as "bad" as I anticipated, but not for me).

Raised in the Baptist church, attended Lutheran school from grades 3-8, dated a guy who attended the "Church of Christ", not sure what denomination you would call that religion but it was very strict! Dh and i married at a place called "Faith Community Church" it was my father's wish that we get married there, i guess that would be considered non denominational?
