Man, eating healthy and in moderation and regular excersise does work! Who would have thunk it!? I've NEVER been a fan of diets. I dont think I've EVER even tried one! I laugh at all the infomercials and my friends that tell me about this crazy crap they do to themselves in attempt to lose weight.

I got back on the health wagon on Jan. 10th. I joined 24 hour fitness and started paying attention to what I eat. I've lost 11 lbs since then. Motivation is definitnely a factor. Me and my mommy friends are in a fun competition for whoever loses 20 lbs first wins the $$$ pot we have going. So far, Im in the lead... and I am stoked!

I go to the gym 4-5 times a week. Try not to eat crazy. Although I do still eat what I want! Ive only gained weight (.5lbs) one week. Every other week Ive LOST! Its so rewarding! I WILL wear a 2 piece this summer!!!!!!! I WILL!!!!! Confidently! That is my goal!

So, I just wanted to say... eating healthy and exercise DOES WORK! And if *I* can do it... ANYONE can!!! Trust me. lol

Way to go on the weight loss. My girlfriend started doing the same thing as you - watching what she was eating and she lost like 7lbs (she hasn't been exercising). Portion control so is huge -- that was my problem before I started my weight loss journey. Now I recognize when my tummy is full!

Good for you Ember!!! And the toughest part about this too, is not only the committment but the realization that as we get older, watching what we eat and making sure we get in our exercise is FAR more important NOW than ever before.

Way to go girl for giving it all you got!!!

Congrats, Ember! I completely agree. You have to do the hard work and not look for an easy fix. Wow, a $$$ pot sounds like a fun idea!
