I have always been a prayer warrior. I'm one of those people that can't stand "downtime." So, anytime it's quiet, and I have nothing to do; I'm talking to God!

Lately, I've had a lot of downtime during MRIs or CTscans, and I realized that even with everything that's going on in my life personally, I'm spending most of my prayer time on others.

I can tell you that I have felt the blanket of prayer that has surrounded me these past weeks. And, I KNOW it has and will continue to make all the difference. I love it when someone tells me I'm in their prayers.

Praying for others - a blessing to you and them!

I'm always praying for others. Even though I've had issues in my life, there is always someone else who needs prayers more than me.

We have a prayer chain at our church that is usually updated daily and I pray for my friends and family everyday.

I do pray that i can be a better wife, mother and grandmother.

Yes, I do pray for others and if I do pray for myself it is to better myself. I believe that prayers can have strong effects.

I need to start praying more. I tend to pray when something is going on in my life (if I'm really stressed, worried about something, etc.). But lately I've had more friends with prayer requests and just my overall family. So I really want to start doing it every day/night. I will say about 2 months ago, dh started doing nightly prayers with the kids (I was so amazed when I walked into the bedroom and heard this) and now the kids remind him to do it (if he forgets).
Starting today I will take a few minutes to pray and start incorporating with the family.

When I am running, I pray for the people in my life I Know are hurting and need comfort. Many of my friends, online and "in real life", have had some hard struggles lately with health and finances and I think of them when I run. Knowing they are struggling makes me feel like I need to too. Running is sometimes difficult for me but I remind myself I have it easy compared to them.

I pray at night before bed and in the morning when I wake, thanking God for my blessings.

A mix of both. For myself, I mostly ask for strength/wisdom to deal with tough situations. I pray for friends and family who also need a little extra help. I also try to focus on my blessings and give thanks for those as well.

Good topic!

I am getting better at prayer. I am learning that prayers don't have to take place just at night or 1st thing in the morning and they don't have to be long. God know what is in your heart so he understands and he even knows who we are talking about even if we forget their name or just don't know it. I pray more for others than I do for myself. I also pray for my childrens mates in the future. The oldest is almost 10 so it should be a few years but I want them to have open eyes and find the one God made for them.
