WARNING:
I am foot phobic so I would appreciate it if the responses to this thread stick to REMEDIES only....as opposed to details on feet. Thank you!

What do you all do to prevent or protect yourself against stinky feet in the summer time?
There are so many cute shoes out there right now, but I HATE how stinky my feet get when I can't wear socks in my shoes

Any suggestions!

The only thing I suggest to MAYBE combat your problem. Baby powder in your socks, and at night baby powder in your stinky shoes.. (never tried the sock idea, but I do but baby powder in shoes. And baking soda takes away the odor, so you can put some in a nylon legging, then into a sock tied. Stick in your shoes.. no powder in your shoes and no smell..

Sorry I'm not much help

Yah I've done the baby powder thing.

The latter suggestion I had not heard yet.

have you tried the Dr Oz remedy.
Dr. Oz suggested a simple home remedy for Kelsey—soaking her feet in tepid iced tea. "The tannic acid in the tea will actually tan your foot a little bit, which will dry it out," he said. "That's helpful in reducing the amount of sweat, and the odor as well."

In just a few weeks, Kelsey says her smelly feet have undergone a drastic change. "Since the show, my life has totally changed. Not only did I get a haircut, but my feet don't smell anymore," she says. "Thank you, Dr. Oz, from the bottom of my sole!"

Dr. Oz says the secret to Kelsey's success is the tannic acid—which dries out the skin—but a few other simple remedies can help, too. "An open-toed shoe, ideally. Wear socks that are absorbent," he says. "But for a lot of folks, the only way to do it is to really dry it out."

I went to the dollar store and brought some cheap tea. Not sure if certain types of tea works better or not. I haven't tried it yet, waiting for summer.

Does that really really work? I've heard about this but thought my feet would get sticky inside my shoes!

I brought a product from a lady who makes sacks for shoes using lava dust. it takes the smell away overnight and you regenerate it buy putting it in sunlight and then it is good as new. I don't have a website. The person makes them out of her home and sells at a flea market in northern MN.

Avon makes a product that you can spray on your feet. I have tried the baking soda and it did not work for me. I won't go into details.
