I don't know how relevant this is, but I have also had a slightly positive lupus test. The way it was explained to me by the doctor, a slightly positive result doesn't necessarily = lupus. In my case, I was referred to a rheumatologist who did a more in-depth exam looking for other signs of lupus. He came to the conclusion that, based on the physical exam, I did not have it. I was told to let my OBGyn know that I had tested slightly positive but that beyond that, I didn't need to worry. Whether or not this will be an issue in the future, I don't know.
The tricky thing with tests for auto-immune diseases is that they are not always 100% accurate. We learned that a year and a half ago when my husband first developed joint pain. They tested him for just about everything. It took a good 6 weeks of testing before we had a diagnosis.
I just wanted to share my experience, hoping that it might ease your mind a little bit. Regardless of what happens, you guys are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.
