Do you wear something cute to the gym (matching tops and bottoms) or whatever is comfortable and clean? LOL

I have one matchy matchy workout outfit that dh got me and I hate it, I feel like an old lady when I wear that thing I like my plain work out tees from Target and black track pants in the winter, summer black or grey shorts with t-shirts. No matchy matchy for me just basic workout wear.

I have lots of great workout clothes that I wear when I'm in shape and will wear again in, oh, maybe 10 pounds. For now it's sweats and tees--basically, picture a frump and you've got me.

When I worked at the gym we had to wear nice workout clothes, especialy while teaching a class, because clients would see us and there is a certain expectation that a "fitness professional" look the part. It wasn't that bad since most places offer a pretty good discount if you're a trainer or group fitness instructor.

Since we've moved here I haven't worried so much how I look before I head to the gym. I'd like to get a job teaching spinning but with dh's schedule being as crazy as it is right now and with him being gone so much the next few months it's really not worth it.

I took a couple spinning classes and loved them. Then we moved. They don't offer the classes here at a time when I can go...I miss the burn baby burn!

I miss it too! The classes they offer here are at bad times for me, plus you have to buy punch card for $25 and reserve your bike a week in advance . Thankfully they have some spinning bikes in the cardio section so I just put on my headphones, turn on my Ipod and sprint, jump, climb hills, etc. You should check with your gym about using a spinning bike when there is no class. I can give you some sample workouts and then you can set it to your own workout. PM me if you're interested .

LOL...this used to be me! Actually this is probably a metaphor for how I feel about myself.

I used to wear name brand workout outfits (always black or navy, usually Nike) to run or workout in. But I was so in shape then (and single) and I looked *good*
Now...I have to admit that I wear what is clean. And it usually doesn't match. And it is likely to have a stain or two or maybe a hole somewhere. Or both. And the t shirt is probably a free one from Chase bank or Bob's hardware.

Funny you brought this up. I was just thinking about this on Sat, as I decided that it really didn't matter if I wore my dark green Star wars t shirt with powder blue yoga pants to the gym, that I might want to get myself to Target to stock up on a bunch of solid color t shirts now that I am committed to the gym. Motivation and all...

I typically wear something matching - I use to wear the oversized t-shirts but now that my upper body muscles are so defined, I like watching them work!
