I truly do think that a woman needs to get out with some friends, at LEAST once a month to let her hair down and just STOP being a mom/wife for a little bit. It's so good for the soul.

How often do you get to go out, just with the girls, no kids or hubby?

I was just out for lunch with my best friend!! me her and our othr BF try to get out at least 3 times a year for birthdays!! so its a definate!! otherwise I do not really go out much at all
I think I am kind of a homebody type person!!

Gosh, its been a while.
Having them over is enough for me to unwind and clear my head. My bff happens to be a gay guy, which I've known for a super long time and another girl that is just sooo chill. They came over for valentine's weekend and we had a blast. I'll put the kids to bed (usual time, around 9ish) and we'll all hang outside and talk, drink wine, reminisce. Wish we could do it more often though, It'd be sweet

A little over a month ago 4 of us got together and we went to a Pampered Chef party if that counts we had a lot of fun, caught up on girl talk and had some good food and probably bought stuff we didn't need, but we had fun.

its been a really long time, actually thinking back it was my bachelorrette party last march 2007!!! ahhh! i think they've forgotten about me already lol. I've really become a homebody and don't like to ask for a babysitter unless dh actually wants to take me out (which is rare)

Ya know, I'm glad you started this thread because I need to vent about that!!

I have 3 best friends, we all went to college together and were roommates. They all live here in CT, the closest one is about half hour away from me, if that. When we decide we're 'ready' for a get together, we email each other and work out a date. OKAY, SO in JANUARY, I emailed and said, 'who wants to get together?', They all responded, so now we had to work out a date. One has a baby, and another is divorced so she only wants to get together on the weekends that her ex has her dd. The last is just always busy, I don't think her dh likes her going out that much. (she is one of THOSE women who has to do everything, dh doesn't like being left alone with the kids, ect ect.) The first date we came up with FEB 2, I couldn't do it because that was Cam's bday. So then we decided Feb 16. Then they all decided that was a conflict with VTine's day. So we agreed on March 1. The divorced gal emailed and wanted to change it yet again because she and her boyfriend were going to celebrate their one year anniversary that day. SO we agreed on March 15. The one with the baby emailed and said there was a conflict and her parents couldn't watch the baby (what about her dh?? I don't even know...) and could we please reschedule AGAIN. ugh. Then she emails that NO dates in april are good for her so could we please do the first weekend in MAY. I'm SO freaking annoyed its not funny. The first weekend in May is Meghan's birthday weekend! And I've only been trying to get together with everyone for the last 3 months!

Ugh I think I'm PMSing today because after I typed all that, I got really upset about the whole thing. And its not even THAT big of a deal.

I'm very good about making time to get together with the girls. I'm in a Book/Restaurant Club that mets monthly, play BUNKO monthly and almost always attend the MOM's Club Mom's Night Out each month. I usually attend at least one home show a month and met up with a college or high school friend once a month or so.

Plus, best of all, I leave in a couple weeks with five other ladies for sunny CANCUN! To get five of my friends to spend a long weekend in Cancun is downright amazing! I am so dang excited and I just can't wait to get away. I totally need a break. We leave behind 19 young children when we go so wish our husbands luck! I think they are all going to try to get together for a party at someones house. Talk about chaos!
