Question for all of those who workout

Hi everyone.
About 8 weeks ago, I started working out at a gym 5 days a week. I do resistance(weight) training with a trainer for 2 hours a week and do 3.25 hours of cardio a week. My trainer was working me really hard today and towards the end of my session I felt super nauseous and I became dizzy. I've never been that close to passing out before. I ate about 2 hours before working out and I thought I was fine. The trainer said it was low blood sugar. Have any of you experienced this before?
