Have you ever caught yourself looking at the clock at 11:11 am or pm, and realize now that its too much of a mere coincidence? I do! Roughly about eight minutes ago in fact. People are now saying that its a spiritual awakening and that if you see this often it means your angels are letting you know they're there. They will also send messages like 12:34 or 12:12 something with some sort of pattern. I find it uplifting to think of this and I really like the meaning it brings. What's your take on this?
I don't really follow/believe in any presumed meanings like that; never have. I find, though, that a lot of people get comfort from these things. As far as angels...I know God created them, but I don't think some other entity, etc. can communicate with us through a clock. I really think it's our own mind/hopes that gear us to believe we can count on "signs" to give us security or comfort. I do sense a spiritual presence without any signs connected with a clock or other inanimate thing, though. I do know that God is always there and I allow him to guide my life and communicate with me through what my heart and my conscious.
This sort of thing reminds me of the many sayings like...."make a wish and it will come true" when the clock reads 11:11. I don't fall prey to that kind of false hope. I just lean on god to guide and direct my life.
I do find myself looking at the clock at seeing the same time a lot, but I think it's a mind trick, not necessarily a "sign". To me it seems that I look at the clock and see 6:17 (my birthday) ALOT, but the only reason I remember it is because the time has significance. I probably look at it the same number of times and it says 5:20, but since that number doesn't mean anything my mind doesn't pick up on it.
I think believing in signs is nice, and I wish I did a little more. My MIL and her sisters always say when they find a penny that it is their dad sending them a hello - I think that's sweet.
I always see those numbers...I found it a bit odd so I decided to google it and see if anyone else was. Turns out that indeed, lots of people are going through this. It is nice to believe in signs, and I do make a wish everytime this happens.
For me, ever since I was a kid, it was a combination of 9 and 11. It would be 9:11, 11:19, those sorts of times. I've often thought how odd it is that I look at the clock so often when it is those times.
