Fortune telling? Something weird happened to me once, hence the reason for this topic starter...


I was at Walmart - YES... walmart (lmao) and while picking up my veggies a lady was looking at me weird. I'm the kind of person that just "feels" when someone's staring at me so I asked her if she needed something. She's like "would you mind letting me read you?" I was like waaaa? And she's like, I wanna read you and guard you from bad energies. I definitely DO believe in energies, not to this extent though, so I said no. Im superstitious and I've heard that if you have your cards read, you jinx or change your fate. Anyway, I said "no thanks". Soon thereafter, I picked up a gallon of milk and noticed that the same lady was asking another young girl with her kids the same thing. I looked at her weird and she quickly walked away.

Do you think spiritual readers, fortune tellers or curators really are gifted or that its simply a sham?

Personally i do believe that some can do this. However i don't believe that it's Godly or from God. I worry about where they are getting the information from.

It's hard because i'm very curious about this kind of stuff but it scares me too.

Sounds to me like that lady that approached you was a little strange. Maybe it was her way of generating new customers??

I do believe some people might have a bit of a 6th sense, but I do not believe in fortune-telling. Myself, when I find out someone is pregnant, I get a "feeling" as to whether they are carrying a boy or girl. All my friends and people at work come to me to find out what they are having. I've been correct over 30 times straight. And I also predicted my best friend would have a miscarriage before christmas, which she did. I can't explain it, but still I do not "believe" it will all come true.

I've read tarot cards for friends at parties and half of it I just kind of make up. I mean, I knew what the card meant -so maybe if there was a card that showed "conflict" I might tell someone that there would be some conflict coming up in their lives. I might say there could be issues coming up at work or among family and friends, and to just be aware that it will happen but it will pass. I mean, ZERO specifics. Yet people came back and told me "OMIGOD - everything you said would happen did happen!" Crazy.

I don't necessarily NOT believe in fortune telling, however, I know the information is not of God. I think certain people may be able to tap into other realms through demonic forces and I stay far away from them. It is eerie though, that some people can communicate these things and be dead on. Freaks me out. The bible says to stay away from mediums.
