Do you pick your battles?
Are you a "right fighter",
"Defensive fighter", "fair fighter", "Sensitive fighter" or do you just LOVE throwing pity parties?
This pertains on your relationships, even your conflicts within.

Im definitely a defensive fighter. A lot of the time I feel I'm right even when I have doubts in myself. Im trying to become a fair fighter and I will win this battle soon (hopefully)! What are you and what makes you this?

Interesting question.

I used to be a sensitive fighter. I used to get upset about every little thing and take things personally and beat MYSELF up for it. So I guess that makes me a sensitive fighter and one who liked throwing pity parties.

Now I just don't have the time or energy to care that much!!! I would much rather get things resolved and put it behind me. What category does that fit into? LOL

I used to just take it, wouldn't fight back at all, then I became a sensitive fighter, like Chirsty described, and took everything personally. Then about 8 years ago now, I started standing up for myself. So I guess that makes me a defensive fighter?? not sure. If I have a very strong feeling about something I will stand my ground but be very open to the other side. My DH is good at this, bringing up very valid points, and then I admit that I am "wrong" or thinking about something incorrectly. I think if you are "fighting" that itself means you care. I do this alot with my sister....fight and say "I don't care" when I really do.

ETA: The baby started crying and didn't finish my thought. Wanted to say, that from time to time, even now, I will still "take it" sometimes, depending on the situation, or take something personally and be sensitive about it. However, and maybe this comes with age....afterwards I can take ownership within myself for my part in the "fight". If that makes any sense at all....that is a hard thought to write out.

I pick my battles, but saying that dh and I have been together 12 years and married 9. During that time we have only had 5 actual fights and that was over his kids.

We don't fuss because I am perfect and always right, and he does what I say
