How do you find the joy in something that is stressing you out? Or just with life in general - how do you know if you are dealing with something "more" (like depression or something) or just a down day? What snaps you out of your "funk"???

I found this article with some great ideas for reference.

50 ways to find joy; when you're happy, you feel better, look better, and live longer. Here's how you can brighten your day - Cover Story | Natural Health | Find Articles at BNET.com

You know, this doesn't sound like you, at all. I don't know if you are talking in general or about yourself personally, so I may be assuming too much.

Just this week, Kellynkay came here to share the same sentiments and knowing you two are in the northern states, I am wondering if this winter season has just dragged you both down!

Hang in there girly.....spring is just aroud the corner. ((HUGS))

Yeah I'm dealing with a "funk" and it might be the winter blahs. We had started to get the taste of spring but woke up this morning to 3 inches of snow on the ground. Crazy weather! I can't seem to shake my funk by using any of my "old" ways!

I hear you ... out of character Northern funky momma here too. It's been the longest winter ever, in more ways than one.

Sorry to hear about the funk! What snaps me out of it is getting out and doing something fun with my family. It is going to be almost warm enough today (50ish). We're going to visit our river place today. We will walk around the water and go to the playground. I'm trying to work up the nerve to agree to a spring ski ride. The next day it is in the 60s my husband wants to put the boat in the water. That means skiing in 40 degree water. I have a wetsuit but that doesn't keep me very warm. It is invigorating and I will feel pumped afterwards. However, it is hard to get in that water when my toes start to get numb on the swim platform while putting on my ski. On my own personal spinoff, I say getting out there and doing something you love gets me outta that funk!!

Thank you but most people just think we're nuts! You should check on the Team Mastercraft forums. Some of those people break ice and plow snow to get to the lake.
