Other than dh my Mom and SIL (who lives down the block and is a close friend), I haven't told anyone other than all of Mommysavers about my weight loss journey.

I don't like telling people in real like because I don't want them commenting on what I eat or asking how much I've lost. I don't like the pressure. But my Mom, SIL and I are losing together. My Mom is down 10, SIL is down 13.

Do you tell others or wait until they notice?

I know what it is i like to work hard to lose weight. It's time. It's money. It's commitment. So when I see a friend who has obviously shed some weight, I make a huge fuss about it. She deserves to be in the spotlight! It's not easy...and the only reward is what you feel on the inside and about your own personal goals, but it is also nice when someone else notices too

I have 21 referrals to this site, so I don't think it's a secret for me!

I wouldn't say it was a secret but it is up to you if you want to share with a friend.

I think it is great that you have so much support and are getting healthier as a family.

I only had a few people comment on my weight loss after my 2nd child. I just smiled and said 'thank you'.

I will add my husband is the bragger. He tells his coworkers about my accomplishments. He probably told everyone he knew that I ran 4 miles and skied the last 2 weeks.

I would never ever tell my mom or my sister! They are both absoultely obessed with weight and my sister is always making comments trying to decide if she is smaller than me. It is like a contest with them. In my opinion that is not what it is all about.

Dh is the only one that knows how much I weigh other than you guys and my doctor/nurse.

The only reason I told on here is because I needed to say it out loud to make myself do something about it.

I really was open about me on WW but never said my actual weight. Then when I lost all the weight a close friend asked me how much I weighed (which was completely ok with me) and she just could not believe how much I was before & after!
Recently my dh told his good friend how much I weighed (at the time I was ready to kill him) but his friend looked at me and said I was lying, he said I looked about 115 -- that made my day!!!!

No, I usually don't tell anyone, even on here. I just don't feel like I do all the things you guys do and think I must not be dedicated enough since I won't measure foods or count calories or all that stuff that seems to complicated to me. I don't usually tell people in "real" life either because they usually tell me that I look pretty good especially for having all those kids. Plus, then I feel like people are watching what I eat and judging me if I take a doughnut or something at work.

I only tell my closest friends, some family members (my family). My DH's side of the family is kinda big, except DH, I am afraid to say anything to them about it since they would ask- how did you do it, are you starving yourself and so on. My DH tells them on occasion that I am exercising and watching what I eat- but I don't want to be scruntized,( which they do anyways) I do that to myself enough-KWIM?

This is part of what I fear. I really don't like being the centre of attention. I just want to crawl into a hole when people in real life make a big deal of it. I don't mind it here though. haha
