DH and I are expecting our first child in early September and I am already thinking about ways to lose the weight. I haven't gained much weight at all with the pregnancy but I needed to lose a bit before I got pregnant. So do any of you know of any videos or programs (TurboJam, The Firm, etc) that have worked for you or someone you know and are fairly easy to follow? My dh and I like to walk and do outdoorsy things as well but I would like something to do at home to since I will be a SAHM. Thanks!

Our cable provider has an exercise channel that is included with our subscription. It has everything for exercise on there.
Start out small, even if you do sit ups when a commercial is on, do power walking in your living room from one to commercial to the next. Little things like that will help.

I like Simplefit.org. It's all bodyweight exercises so you don't have to spend $$ on videos that will eventually collect dust. Well, the one thing you may have to spend money on is a pull up bar that attaches to your doorway. What I like most is that you can exercise with baby, hold your baby while doing squats and lay baby on floor and give kisses while doing pushups. It's also an effective exercise regimen, with multi-joint and compound movements. Basically giving you "more bang for the buck" without having to come up with lots of time to exercise.

I have Turbojam. The 20 minute workout is great. I really feel like I did a good workout after I did it. I have yet to complete the 45 minute ones though. There's one on there called TurboSculpt. Man, my muscles start shaking 5 minutes into the routine after the warmups! I think its a little too much for me right now. i'm just not up to it physically. I just did a 45 minute workout today. Its called "Palities Firm and Burn". Its by Crunch. It really was a good workout without me feeling completely exhausted afterwards.
