I am running in a 5K race this weekend. This is a big deal to me since it is my first race since my bout with hyperthyroidism! (BTW, I was given an all clear for now from the doctor last week - it had resolved without medicinal or surgical intervention!)

I did a 5 mile trail run this morning in 46:30, so I am not to worried about not doing well at the race. I mostly just want to finish and be successful in regards to organized runs again.

Thanks! The run this morning felt great, especially since I was still wet from swimming. Made the run a little easier in the TX heat!

Now there's an idea. Running in this humidity is KILLING me. I will hose myself off first THEN run! Thanks for the tip!

I ran the almost completely uphill course in 24:36. That is only 29 seconds off my fastest time before I was sick! Yippee for me!
