Is your dh/so overweight?

Not mine. He's 5'8 and 155 lbs with a 31 inch waist. It would be much harder for me to stay fit if he was heavier.

I feel a double standard here. I don't know about any of you guys but I would be furious with dh if he took part in a survey about my weight on a site that he frequent. After all I belive it is what is inside that counts. You can be totally fit and be a horrible person. So I really don't see how this poll really matters much.

I think this is a question more about support. Many of us are trying to make healthier choices and be more active, maybe lose weight, this is in the health and fitness forum. It is helpful if your dh is making the good choices too and supporting you in your endeavors. My dh has been overweight in the past and is now in great shape, he is a great example of how healthy eating (my cooking, thank you!) and daily exercise really does improve your life. He is in better shape now at 36 than he was at 22.

I agree it's what's inside that counts, but I think this discussion is more about health than appearance.

I agree. I was meaning for those of us who are in this section (trying to lose weight or get healthier) it helps if our dh are also making healthier choices and supporting us in our endeavors. I wouldn't care what he looked like but it helps that he eats right and exercises so that I'm not tempted to eat poorly.

I took the question just as a for fun thing. Not to make anyone offended.

No my dh is not at all overweight. Up until about 8 months ago he had probably only put on about 10-15 lbs since high school and he graduated in 94! Since he has stopped chewing tabacco, he has probably put on another 15 pounds. But he is so tall (6'10") that he looks a lot better with a little weight on him. I told him he has a butt now where as before he just had a flat one. He probably weighs around 200 lbs now so he still isnt overweight.

My dh has always been very fit, me not so much. But he is very supportive of me when I try to loose weight and very kind to me when I am not kind to myself.
I once found a picture of fat woman looking in the mirror and the reflection she saw was a thin woman. I imagine thats the way my dh sees me. I look in the mirror and see a fat woman , he looks at me and sees a think woman.

No, he's not, he's never been....he's bigger than he's ever been, but still looks great! He needed the weight!! When we met, he was 6'1, and 160!!!! NOw he's looking good at around 190-200. Filled out and cute as ever...
Of course, being the typical active man, he could drop ten in a minute.

My fiance is probably considered a little overweight. He's got a few pounds to lose. He's 6', about 220 lbs. We're both trying to at least be a bit healthier, eating more vegetables, getting out biking more, etc.

my dh is and it does bother me only cause it is affecting his health!
I tell him all the time he needs to eat better and take care of his heart I just do not want him ending up needing a bypass like his father I want to do what he/we can to not have to put worry on the kids!
