Okay ladies, I have an idea and would love to know if anyone would be interested in participating, walkers and runners.....

I have signed up for the San Francisco Progressive Marathon this summer. In the past, I have done the half marathon, but am not up to it this summer, so I am doing this instead. Basically, I record my miles as I do my usual walks. I have my dh sign the form for each time to witness that I had walked those miles. By August 3, I need to have completed 23.1 miles of walking, then I walk in the official 5k for the last 3.1. When I complete the 5k and turn in my form, I receive a medal for finishing the progressive marathon.

The main point of the Progressive Marathon is that anyone can do it and successfully finish!!!

Is anyone interested in doing a Mommysavers Progressive Marathon? I am happy to provide a form to record your progress, then you can mail it to me when you have walked or run 26.1 miles. My dh often orders sports trophies, etc from a local shop, so I can have a medal made and when I approve your form, I will send you a finishers medal. I was thinking that we could have the Progressive Marathon span the month of July, so you have a month to complete the 26.1 miles.

So, any takers??? Is anyone SERIOUSLY interested in participating? I think it could be a fun, positive way to stay motivated this summer....and who doesn't love getting a medal saying you finished a marathon?!
