I still have two fillings from when I was a kid and don't think I have had a cavity since.

I had one cavity after my first pregnancy. The hormones weren't good for my teeth. That was it. The dentist tells me I have great teeth.

about a million. I seem to recall 4-5 cavities at nearly every visit as a child. 4-5 shots as the dentist could not numb me, being held down by my father so they could drill. My mouth is full of silver. Probably because for several years I brushed my teeth with water because Crest made me throw up, and my mom only bought Crest despite my please for Colgate, which I had at a friends' home, which did not make me sick. To this day I can't use Crest. As an adult, I've rarely had a cavity - mostly replacement of old fillings. I'm also older than most of you, so pre-flouridated water.

I only had 1 until I got pregnant with DS (at 26)... And for some reason my teeth got worse after him...I have had 5 since then. DS was a rough pregnancy and I always joke he sucked the life right out of me and my dentist agrees

Those that say they had some after pregnancy scares me. My tooth has been aching for a few weeks now, although, it doesn't ache as much and I have been making sure I brush at least twice a day.

When I was pg with my ds, I had trouble when my wisdom teeth started coming in.. but no cavities to date.

I wonder if our teeth are more susceptible to cavities when we're pregnant? Anyone know?

I didn't have to many growing up. I think I got my first one when I was 16 or 17 then I had a couple more. That was it until I got pg, I think I've had at least one every dentist appointment since. It's aweful! It's gotta be the hormones too, because I brush them 3 times a day for 2 minutes at least.

The thing that gets me is that dh can go in and brush his for 2 seconds, maybe, and he has absolutely no problems. He also drinks pop all day long. so frustrating! I just hope my kids have teeth like their daddy!

I cant remember. A couple. I havent had any since I have been an adult. I did have one root canal (I dont know the circumstances in which they do those) when I was like 12. Just here about three months ago, it went bad on me and I just had them pull it out. It was my tooth way in the back so unless you stick your head in my mouth, no one knows.
ds1 asked to see it after it had healed and said "dont worry mom, it will grow back".
