I just received the call and have a coach's meeting tonight at 6:30!!! I am super excited about it.

However, OMG, what have I gotten myself into? I don't know a darn thing about soccer! LOL

at that age you do not need to know much.
I tlked DH into coaching our girls teams there is rules (well ours did)
and its mostly about having fun with the kids and giving them each a chance to play.

Good for you for coaching I think its great. you will have so much fun (dh was glad that I made him coach)

I think it is just having fun when they are 3 and getting the ball down the field to the net.
Good luck with this new venture Christy you will do fine!

You will do great, its so funny at that age how they all follow the ball in a big group! Just make sure they know which goal is theirs

Have fun

Congratulations! Coaching soccer that young is kinda like 'herding cats'. LOL It will be hilariously fun. Dh coached several years for Kindergarten age kids...he too had never coached, only played soccer as a child. He got some books at the library the really helped. Browse on Amazon and then see if you can get them at your library - just ideas for drills, understanding the rules of the game and explaining them to the kids (and parents). Good luck!
