How long does it take you to fully recover from your panic attacks.
I probably have 6 panic attacks a year. Usually two in a row. Usually after I have 2-3 nights of not being able to sleep.
After the 2nd panic attack it usually takes me about a week to fully recover from the full episode. And during that week of "recovery" I am just wasted tired with some light headed-ness and light dizziness.
Usually in the morning I am dragging butt, feel really sleepy around noon, then from 3-6pm I feel good, only to crash out at 6pm. I can barely keep my eyes open to 8pm.
I do find that when I am eating right and working out regularly my panic attacks are kept at bay. But I had my DD 15 months ago and just haven't been able to get back on track diet wise or working out.
I had 3 nights of not being able to sleep this past week, followed by a panic attack on Tuesday night and another one on Thursday night. Then the last two nights I am in bed asleep by 830pm and knocked out until about 7am. But even with 1.5-2 hour naps each day, I am still exhausted by 6pm.
What do you do to get through it all? What do you do get yourself back on track? I am a big natural herb healing believer, so any suggestions on herbs/supplements to take would be greatly appreciated.
Right now I am taking Chamomile Calm by Herbs for Kids throughout the day to help me sleep at night. I also drink a greens drink at night with some Flax Oil. I also take an organic Women's Multi Vitamin and some acidophilus daily. I have also been taking something called Gink Gold daily (to help with my painful periods) and Echinacea (I had bronchitis for 3 weeks prior to my insomnia).
I have also had issues with my Thyroid in the past which I healed through herbs/supplements, change in diet and exercise. Like I said before, when I was doing all the right stuff, my anxiety attacks were very minimal. But now that I have gotten off track....
So I know part of the answer for me is to get back on track, but it's really hard when I am so tired all the time and my body feels like it is giving out on me.
Thanks in advance!
