What keeps you motivated in the gym? What motivates you to do more? What do you tell yourself when you're working out?

My motivation while working out is the end of it!!

My motivation to do more is the way I feel after a good work out. I feel so relieved, accomplished, and though I may be tired I feel so much better. I think I'm probably nicer to be around because I can work all that stress out!

While working out I usualy listen to some type of music, or just use the time to think. Or whatever to take my mind off of the time I have left (especially when using the elyptical machine!)

Internally my motivation is to feel stronger and not so slouchy anymore. I love lifting weights and seeing my body transform....however I haven't quite gotten there yet. I also have a size eight wardrobe waiting to be worn again!

Other motivating factors for me are:

1) to set an example for the kids; they know both mommy and daddy go to the gym and "get big muscles"
2) I am going home in a few weeks and need to tone up a bit!
3) there is a Mommysavers reunion this spring...need to tone up for that too
4) and like Erin said, I love the feeling of accomplishment. I Love knowing I pushed my body and made it through!!!

....oh and the guilt factor seems to be alleviated when I am staring at a big moist delicious brownie after my workouts!! LOL
