Congrats on the t.v.
I was wondering what kind of changes were going to be made in w.w.'s? Did they tell you much at your meeting last night?

I am trying to start today to count points again.

Did I also read some where that so much black coffee counts as some water? I thought it didn't because it has caffeine in it.

One more question.....When you make your own recipes, do you always figure how many points are in them? I think its kind of a pain in the butt to have to figure it all out.

Too be continued...................:D

They swore us to secrecy, but I will say I really, really like it (for the most part - there is only one minor thing I am not crazy about and it is strictly aesthetic (sp)). It doesn't change too too drastically, but it has been improved. BUT, you did not hear it from me. Apparently, I can get in trouble for saying anything. OOOPS! I didn't know! But, I have my copy of all the new stuff to go over and it comes out, officially, in December.

Black coffee can only count as water IF it is decaffinated. Only three servings (8 oz.) a day can be counted, too. The other three have to be clear water.

Yes, I do. It realy isn't too hard to figure out once you get started. If you need me to look at one, I will. Just pm me about it. Our regional manager brought a desert last night that was AWESOME! It was Eclaire Cake and was really yummy. I will have to post it later. It was only 2 points a serving, too - and EASY!

Hope that helps.

I love WW...but I don't like change...I hope I can do the new program thing.

I have a lifetime members question...I didn't go last month to weigh in (totally forgot), but I haven't gained any weight (still at my goal)...do I have to pay because I skipped a month even though I'm at my goal weight?

That is a good question. I think, technically, yes, but a lot of leaders (like me ) would look the other way. I figure it like life happens. . .

I guess this is turning into the ask Claire thread...LOL
I want to join I need to loose a lot of weight to be ideal we are talking medical recomendation is 111-146 and ideal peoples chice is 173 this would make me having to loose more than 60 lbs. I really want to and need to for other reasons. I don't have a WW around where I live I did Curves for a year and did loose a little but mostly just maintained. I was wondering if on line WW is just as good. If you know anything about it. Feel free if you want to answer here or PM me. TIA

I think the meetings work better. Our meeting is really cool because we have quite the rapport with people. They e-mail and call each other outside of the meeting. Most of them have met at the meeting.

If you can't do a meeting, then I would try online. I know I am prejudiced, but I truly think WW is the best way to lose weight. I tried EVERYTHING before I joined and it took me quite awhile because of the money commitment. I am too cheap to spend the money, but it really does work. It is also very healthy and its approach is a lifestyle change. It really has changed how I eat - even when I have my bad days.

If you have 50+ pounds to lose, just know that it won't be gone overnight. They say 1/2 a pound to 2 pounds a week is a healthy way to go. It isn't like the Atkins way or anything, but if you truly are committed, it will stay off. I have kept 25 of my 35 pounds that I originally lost off for 3 years now (with a baby in between ).

We have about six members (that I can think of) in our meeting that have lost that much weight. They have been doing it since about the beginning of the year or longer, but they did it! They are really inspirations for me, too.

I hope that helps.

So, easy! I eat it a lot of times before weigh in.

10 ounces of chopped broccoli
3 cans low sodium (very important!) chicken broth
water to cover
Velveeta light (about 8 ounces)

Heat the water, chicken broth to a boil. Add the veggies and simmer until "mushy" (about 30 minutes). Stir in the Velveeta. Serve immediately. It makes about 8 cups and the Velveeta is the only food with any point value so 1 point. If you want more cheese, you can add more, but just count the points.
