Today was my first outdoor run in the CHILL of late autumn. It was in fact chilly but I did it. I think the worst part is the dang wind...especially here in Oklahoma. But in the 50 degree weather I got out and there completed 4 1/2 miles with my running partner. We both wanted to stop at 3 miles but we encouraged each other to finish the last mile and a half. So glad we did. I feel great now. I'm sure I will pay for it tomorrow!

What do you wear when you run in the chill?

I usually have a shortsleeve t-shirt on, then my running windbreaker or armor long sleeve shirt. Then long running pants. If super cold, my ear band & gloves

Right now, my clothes are limited... I've been wearing a pair of capri sweats and long sleeve t-shirt. It's only been in the 40's and breezy here so it hasn't been too bad yet--except today, I believe it is high 30's and very chilly.

Normally, I wear wicken pants and long sleeve shirt with a sweat shirt or hoodie over top of that.

For me, I HATE the thought of getting out in the cold....but once I get out there, I feel so invigorated and so much better. The cool air is refreshing.

Oh my goodness!! I just looked up and out the window and it is snowing!! Big huge flakes!! DD will be so happy!

We'll see how chilly it is at lunchtime today...

I'm on the treadmill so my clothes are the same Wish I was running this week. The kids gave me their cold/virus.

It won't get below 45 in the day here, ever. But I really like distance walking in the cold. I also find it invigorating, I love brisk air and I'm not a big fan of sweating huge amounts. I love having a cold face when the rest of my body is warmed up.

I'm having more of an issue with the shorter days (and the possible broken toe, long story). My two options are early morning and evenings and both are too dark right now to walk by myself. I finally got dh to agree we can look for a treadmill on craigslist and find a space for it in the office

I just want to say kudos for still getting out there to run in the cold. I can't manage to drag myself out for a walk if it is less than 50 degrees!
