Do you make an effort to give consumable gifts? What are you planning to do this year? Give us some ideas!
Every year we make peppermint bark to give as small gifts to co-workers etc.

I make pan de jamon to bring to the office party, and brownies and cookies to give as gifts.

Every year I make up big patches of different cookies and candies and then make up trays of them to give to the neighbors that have given us garden produce during the summer as our way of saying "Thanks". I have also done up hot chocolate gift bags and cookie mixes.

I make tons of cookies, brownies, candies, breads and anything else I can for the holidays.
For work last year I took one large pan of chocolate chip cookie dough brownies, a couple banana breads and two gallon bags of caramel corn.
I havent made out my list yet of what I will be making this year. But I should get on it.
Here is what I know I will make for sure:
Banana breads-I will have to make at least one dozen
Cookies: Snickerdoodles, Monster cookies, Chocolate Crinkles, Sugar cookies
Brownies-not sure what kind. Looking for some new recipes to try out
Caramel corn
Chocolate covered pretzel rods-

My dad always prefers consumable gifts since he says he has eveything already! I don't make them though- I usually do some gourmet coffee, tins of popcorn or gift cards for Omaha Steaks.
I would love to actually bakes some things for neighbors and coworkers but talent and time always seem to be lacking! LOL

I bake a lot of xmas cookies & give out plates to co-workers and neighbors. I've also made cocoa mix and scented bath salts to give away.
For consumable gifts for my closer friends, wine always works, as does quality chocolate (Godiva). Last year we gave all of them boxes of stuff from cherry republic (cherry BBQ sauce, cherry salsa, cherry fudge topping, etc). Cherry Republic has a ton of great stuff you can order & ship & everyone loved it. This year, they are getting spices from Penzey spices. I can either order established gift sets (like BBQ spice mix) or choose my own selection to give away.
Other popular ones for family include iTunes gift cards, Movie Theatre gift certificates, and Starbucks gift cards.

Some really popular consumable gifts are lotions/soaps and candles, but I always feel like I have too many of those things.
