There are so many people that still are wasteful in today's society. Do you think that people will adapt to becoming more enviormentally friendly in the future?, or will our society continue to be a disposable world?

I hope so, too. I think that as information gets more widely disseminated, people will have to take notice and change. For example, I was FLOORED when I heard about the huge plastic garbage patch floating in the Pacific Ocean. I did some more research on it and it's made more of an impact on me than any other environmental issue out there. I am obsessive now about not using plastic and recycling the plastic that I can't avoid coming into my life.

The thing that really bugs me is all the new disposable items they keep coming up with. Disposable toilet bowl brushes and such. I love my Swifer but really do we need another swifer pad for every time I need to clean my floor - I have knitted one to replace them when I run out - you could also use fleece and just wash them - no need to keep buying them or put them in landfills. So many items are packaged in so much packaging - think toys - good grief.

Something else that bugs me are that products aren't made to last - printers are now disposable - they used to last forever now a year or so is what they are expected - yes many parts can be recycled but I much better would be to last long - of course the companies wouldn't make money that way. Phones used to last decades now the batteries die after a couple of years and need to be replaced - really bugs me.

I see some people getting more dedicated to being green but the majority just not wanting to be bothered and not sure that is going to change much.

I think so. I just look at what my daughter is learning in school about recycling and I am optimistic. She's the one that keeps us on our toes and reminds us to turn off the water when we're brushing our teeth.

I think it's going to get to the point where dwindling resources make conservation no longer optional, but a matter of survival.
