I have been thinking about things I have done to simplify and this one came to me the other day- I thought I would share and see if anyone else does this. About 7 years ago (the year we were married) my parents gave me diamond stud earrings. I have been wearing them ever since! I leave them in all the time and take them out once a week while I shower to soak them in the jewelry cleaner and then back in they go. They are like a little ear uniform and make me feel pretty even when I am in my "mommy sweats". I still have a few other pairs that I chage into very occasionally (pearls, diamond hoops) but I only do this once or twice a year. I know it would be even more simple to not wear earrings at all, but this has saved me the constant switching and deciding. Does anyone else do this?

I have worn the same pair of diamond studs (from my mother) forever. Until about a month ago one of them fell out at some point and I haven't been able to find it. It really does make things easier, I've given almost all my jewlery away to neices and family b/c I never really wore any of it. It does make me feel a little more polished too.

I do this too, my DH bought me a pair of medium size white gold hoops. I wear them every day and I love them.

I wear my diamond studs all the time. I have given away most of my costume jewelry and stick with my good pieces everyday. It helps to look sparkly even when I don't feel it.

I do but not with diamonds. I have only one pair of earrings (small gold hoops) and I have been wearing them for years.

I have a pair of ruby studs I wear almost everyday (along with gold balls, a gold shell, and a gold hoop in the the other holes in my ears!). I have a few other pairs that I wear occasionally as well. I think the "earring uniform" was the perfect way to describe it!

I gave away most of my costume jewelry too. I did keep a few pieces, some were my grandma's from the 30's-50's and 2 pairs of my mom's from the 60's. I just keep them in a box most of the time but I figure they will be passed down with a contribution of mine for my daughter or daughter-in-law someday.

I have only kept my really good quality jewelry. I have them checked and cleaned at the jewelers about once a year- their cleaning is always better than mine! Little hoops, little studs- comfortable and simple!

I also tend to wear fine jewelry - either studs or small hoops. I tend to wear one set for about a week then I switch. It does make it simpler.

I love this idea! I cannot afford diamonds but I can afford pearls, and I do wear them most every day, but alas they are faux, so I need to take them out each night.

I have found that since I have become a mom, I wear the same 2 paris of earring day after day. I have a small pair of studs with a diamond chip middle and little sapphire chips surrounding it. They look like little flowers. I love them! Last year my DH got me a pair of diamond studs that I wear alot too. I also find too if I wear a necklace, it has a simple but nice charm on it. I am not into big and chunky jewelry. I love simple and chic!
