We had so many toys in ds's room, our library, and in the basement that ds never uses or has outgrown. Today we took a few hours and went through it all. Ds was amazing! He was very excited to get rid of stuff (maybe he gets that from me?!) They were the really junky ones too, all the bright yellows, reds, blues and greens. We just took them all to Goodwill, adios!

Monday I'm taking the books to Half Price Books. *Maybe* I'll get $10 for two huge crates of them.

That's great! It always feels good to get rid of unwanted stuff.

Way to go! I've been wanting to purge toys but keeping thinking I'll regret it. I have a toddler that may use the toys that our older daughter has outgrown. I have about 5 rubbermaid bins of stuf and it makes me feel like I'm hoarding. I've learned that my daughter would rather do an activity or go outside. Hopefully I will let them go soon.

This must have been very freeing for both you and DS. Clutter drives me nuts and we try to keep the toy pile to a minimum as well.
Good work!
