after being at home for just over a year now. And not getting into a good "rhythm" for getting things done around the house, I finally figured out that I need everything on a list!!

I would get things done just not in a timely manner, and no where near often enough. Then this weekend I had a "brainstorm". I sat down and made a daily list, hour by hour, of things that need to get done. Once it is down in black and white, it is a goal of mine that it has to be checked off the list when done.

It is like my "inbox" and you can't go "home" until your inbox is empty....LOL.

Of course with the baby, it is not going to happen on the exact hour where I put it, things will most definately get shifted. But everything gets checked off the list at some point. I even put down when I feed her a bottle, just to have one more thing to check off the list to give myself "confidence" to complete the rest of the list. I feel like a new woman...LOL.

I LIVE by lists! Grocery lists, Chore lists, upcoming things in my life lists, things I need to get rid of lists, things I need to remember lists. I also have learned to list things in bed at night when my mind is racing and I can't sleep. I uses to be afraid I would forget the things I was thinking of and couldn't sleep so now I write them down, and actually get some sleep.

Congrats on getting so much done with your new found best friend....a pen and paper

I need lists to keep track of my lists! I'm a visual person, so I get gratification from checking things off on a piece of paper. They really do help, and hey whatever gets you through the day and you feel productive doing it, I'm all for it!

I totally agree... I keep a running to-do list in my planner. I LOVE checking things off - I've been known to write something I've done down just to check it off! Sick isn't it!

I'm not a list person, but most of the battle is finding what works best for you. I make lists that I don't follow. I'm a rule breaker. Big surprise there.

Ya know, I make lists all the time at work - I never think to make them at home! Hmmm, I think I will try that. DH will wonder how I got so organized. He likes that I've found mommysavers because I'm getting so many good ideas!
