Taking DS outside to play with his first live frog (I've never heard him squeal that loud with laughter and enjoyment) and then after letting Mr. Foggy go, being carefree and letting him play in the creek and get all muddy and mucky. He needed to be a little boy, and I needed to let go and stop being uptight about him getting dirty. By the time he went into the house, he had slid through tons of mud (with his dress shoes on no less! ) and was up to his waist in the creek. It was too cute.
Also, I took a nap when DH went down for his. There were dishes in the sink, and clothes to be folded, but I was tired and threw caution to the wind. Dishes and clothes are still there now that we've woken up, but I'm gonna get off and go do those right now. It was just nice to say "ah, screw it" and take a nap even with things a mess. I feel much better!
