If anyone saw Oprah yesterday, did you catch the cleaning products they showed? I was so excited about this I looked up the company's website shaklee.com and I couldn't get through they were so busy. There's a 33% discount till the end of the month if you buy online. They also sell the products at Target. Just letting you know. The laundry detergent bottle is the size of water bottle and cleans as much as a 100 oz. bottle of laundry detergent. So cool!

My MIL has been selling Shaklee for 20 + years and swears by it. I get the cleaning stuff for Christmas. I get the hint! I really don't mind because I really like their stuff but it's a bit pricey so I tend not to buy it myself. Now that it was on Oprah yesterday, it going to get popular fast.

Wasn't that a great show on Oprah? One of the best I've seen. I want to learn to crochet now so I can make those produce bags. I already use cloth bags for shopping but I haven't found anything for produce. I can't find the bags anywhere but I did find a pattern for it on Canadian Living
Eco Produce Bag Crotchet Pattern

If anyone else knows how to crochet, you could make big bucks on this idea now that Oprah featured it. I may have to get a book out of the library.

Here is the link from Oprah's show yesterday.

I saw this episode and I was also excited to see this! I have been considering trying out alternative "chemical free" cleaners. I just bought some of the Target brand Method. They look like they will smell really nice and were not that much more expensive!

I have not been home much this week and I missed this Oprah... bummer! I have always used some environmentally safe products and have now made a complete switch. They are not that much more expensive and I feel so good about what I am NOT exposing my family to. It feel like a gift I am giving to my son's future. I made the complete change when I read the back of our toilet bowl cleaner and realized that it was most likely LETHAL if ingested.. I do not want that in my house and in our water supply ( we have a well and septic system). I am now using 20 Mule Team Borax in our toilets and they look great!! I add a little Simple Green or vinegar when needed.
