I just read that Albert Einstein said he needed ten hours of sleep a night.
I think that, in a perfect world, I could sleep at least nine hours every night.

I know my mind would be sharper with more sleep. Did ALbert have kids?

I've got permanent sleep deprivation. I haven't had more than 3 straight hours of uninterrupted sleep in 5 years now! I function just fine, but I would love to get one night of 8 hours! Well no, it would most likely mess me up!

I need at least 6- 7 hours of sleep, otherwise I feel irritable On the other hand, on Mother's Day DH and the kids let me sleep in and I ended up getting 10 1/2 hours sleep!! which was way too much, I felt out of it all day. So, 7 hrs. is perfect!

It's been so long since I had a full night's sleep I have no idea! It'd be great to get 6 or 7 hours of uninterrupted snoozing.

8 to 9. I am no fun when I don't get my sleep. But when my older kids were little and they did not sleep, somehow I managed just fine. I think God was looking out for me by giving me great sleepers for my late life babies since he knows how I am without my sleep!

I am the same but dh (and the rest of his extended family) only need 6-7 hours which usually means me going to bed way earlier then everyone else. I wish I needed less but without at least 8, I'm a grump!

I need a lot of sleep right now. When a weekend comes I sleep at least 9 hours and could still take a nap during the day. My pre preggo days I didn't need too much sleep at all.

I love my sleep, but I can still function on 5 hours if I have to...I'm not happy for the first 2 hours I wake up, but I can function. 8 hours is prime for me. Before kids, I could go on only a few hours a night (well ,early morning) and I felt great...I miss those days

I was just talking about this with my mom. I really feel best with 8-10 hours. I really wish I did not need this much. Dh requires much less and it makes me feel kind of lazy but it is something I don't really think I can change.... I had a REALLY hard time when Bryce was small. I exclusively breast-fed him so I was the one up every time and he did not sleep through the night at all until 9 months. We are TTC right now and I have to say that that is the thing I am nervous about is going through that again but also having a toddler to care for. I can just hope that the new baby will be a sleeper!
