We also live too far out to walk anywhere. Even if the distance was walkable, it would be too dangerous since the highway has no shoulder and everyone drives very fast!

I also make a list of things I need to do/go and try to tackle everything in that area on the same day. It sometimes makes for long days for the kids, but I'd rather try and tackle it all than going back to the same area every day.

Unfortunately, everything else is affected by gas prices- even the local pizza place let us know tht a delivery charge would go up this summer due to gas prices.

the pizza places are raising their delivery charges??? kinda weird since they don't pay for their employees to have a tank of gas. that's the driver's responsibility.... sounds like they are just milking it for everything it's worth.... i would try to find another pizza place, papa john's always has free delivery if you have one in your town

I really would just buy a take and bake when you are out and about. What you can do is drive someplace and then walk from there. I can walk to the store but typically I do my shopping along with what ever activity we have planned.
