Pray we don't have a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico this summer. That will make it go much, much higher!

I understand. Not only do we have to spend an extrodinary amount on gas but it raises the prices of everything else too. I spend $100 a week on gas in my car alone! It makes it hard to get ahead.

I live 6 miles from the nearest store. I surely can't ride a bike or anything. It's murderous to a budget. Prices are going up but pay rates are staying the same. It's almost not worth trying to juggle a job anymore.

Yet, I see nothing being done and they admit to record profits.

I am lucky to be close to everything. But it is impossible to carry 2 weeks worth of groceries home while holding the hand of a 3 yr old. my 8 and 6yr olds will have to fend for themselves.

I swear I hate it! To fill both our van and truck would be close to 150! UGH! I was working on doing better. Making meal plans and all! But now gas goes up 45 cents in a week!

Each week it costs around $45 to fill up the mini van. I make a list of errands and cross of the ones I don't absolutely have to do, then I put the rest in order to save on gas. If it's within walking distance we walk. The last 3 weeks I've made the weekly library trip on foot. Saving on gas and definitely getting some exercise in carrying the backback full of books. Next week I'll walk to the bank, dentist, and the vet for the dog's yearly check.

Trickle down effect--the price of everything will go up except our income I've been doing a menu and sticking to the list. I'll definitely be shopping more at Aldi's.
