I hope I am posting this in the right place.

For those with girls...How many Barbie dolls do your girls have. How many clothes for the Barbies do they have? My daughter has WAY to many. We went through them a month ago and got rid of 1/2 of them which left her with 52 dolls. She is the only girl in my Dh family and whne his sisters see a new Barbie or accessory they buy it for her. It is CRAZY!

We have a lot of Barbie's, clothes, accessories, etc.

I saved all of my Barbie's from when I was growing up and then I have found a bunch at garage sales and dd has gotten several for birthiday and Christmas presents.

So yeah, we have a lot of Barbie's.

Which left her with 52 dolls? Good grief! How many dolls did she have before she was "left" with 52?

My dd can take or leave Barbie. Actually, she will only play with the My Scene Barbies (I think she prefers the larger heads). She has some cute, non-overly made up dolls. All together my dd has 6 My Scene Barbies, 2 Kens, and 4 Kellys. She has a medium sized bag with clothes and a small container of shoes. She has an under-the-bed container with some Barbie furniture (the furniture won't fit in the box on dd's storage shelf), 3 cars (an old Tonka Barbie car of mine that's in excellent condition, a Wal-Mart cheapy, and a .25 yard sale cheapy), and one small, fold-up dollhouse. That's it, and I doubt I'll be adding to her Barbie collection anytime soon since these are things she plays with only once a month (if that much).

I still have all my old Barbies from when I was a kid, but I grew up in the 70s and these Barbies are old. They can't be played with very much. From time-to-time I bring them down for dd to see.

Ava (3 yrs. old) has maybe 8 barbies. Somedays she will play with them for hours, and sometimes she will go weeks without them. Of course, all her barbies (and dolls) are naked. The second she gets a new barbie or doll, the clothes are off.

She had well over 100. We rotate them out every other month. She LOVES garage sales and spends most of her allowance at them. She got a box of Barbie clothes a couple of months ago for $2. She has a Jeep, Mobile Home, SUV, and 2 convertibles, an under the bed container for her barbies and the clothes and another under the bed container for funiture and a very large house for them. She also has an under the bed container for her barbies and the clothes and another under the bed container for funiture in the garage that we rotate out with. These are in addition to the 9 Holiday Barbies and the 5 other collectible Barbies she has that are on display.

We will be moving into our new house in a few weeks and will 1/2 her collection again. She has 3 closets in her room, I don't want them all filled up with toys.

She has more clothes than my husband, son and me put together. But she buys ALOT of them with her allowance at garage sales and thrift stores. She is 9 but knows never to pay full price for anything.

OMG, and I thought we were over run with Barbies, still over 50?

My DD use to buy the dolls at flea markets for about 50 cents each, not for the doll but the clothes on the doll. Then my mom bought her a trash bag full of clothes at a garage sale for $10. So we have about 40 dolls, (only 1 male though so he is quite the stud!) a trash bag full of clothes, a house, 3 cars, and enough furniture to fill 2 houses. This toy has over run my home. Worst part of it is DD now doesn't play with them and hasn't for about 18 months. "Too babish for a 10 YO." I need to clean out and get rid of, but will have to do it when DD isn't around as she will not part with any of it, and DD#2 (age 3) has no interest what so ever in playing with dolls at all. She wants animals and substitutes her stuffed animals as babies. And when she wants to play with the doll house she kicks the people aside and makes the animals the rulers of the roost.

I have 2 DDs and we have tons of barbies, clothes, accesories, cars, and the van. Last month I spread all the barbies out on the living room floor and made then give away a lot. They did without a fuss. We still have too many for my taste though.

We are right there w/ya! I didn't count them yet...too scared! LOL. We have one of those plastic storage bins full of barbies, accessories, shoes & clothing of all kinds Some of them date back 10 yrs!

I have to over the naked barbie remark, cuz my DH always says, "there's naked barbies all over the house!" He's a lil' outnumbered here at home. Even our 2 dogs & a cat are females!
