I guess I didn't answer your question! We get an egg a day from each, so 3 eggs per day, 21 per week, 84 per month.......also the chicken poop, mixed with the straw from their beds is the world's BEST fertilizer..our garden is just spilling out of its borders!!

I don't make anything from scratch, but I have been wanting to try. I am going to check out the suggestions others have mentioned. Thanks.

I think most of these were already covered but I'll add my list

Bread
Spat sauce
95% of all of our jellies (unless we run out and I HATE store bought)
Some pastas (though I hope to change that to about 80%)
I'm going to start all my beans instead of canned
Salsa (though that is a work in progress)
I can apples, applesauce, peaches, green beans, squash, pickles
I'd like to can fish but neither me nor my husband fish and my brother (who fishes) won't give me any of his.
Croutons (though I'm lazy on that one)
And other different sauces.

If anyone has a BBQ sauce recipe that they're willing to share I would love to check it out! truthfully I never thought about BBQ sauce! And I don't know why!

There are all sorts of products you can make with powdered milk. I have the recipes written and I'm looking now to see if I can find them digitally or on-line. I know you can make sour cream / yogurt and cheeses with powdered milk.

I make both pasta sauce and shredded chicken using my crockpot. Occassionly, I'll still purchase a jar or 2 of spaghetti sauce just in we have unexpected company drop by & I've already used up the batch I've made. With the chicken, I purchase a whole 4 lb. bird for $3.00. It costs that much for a pound of shredded chicken from the grocery store.
