I was a Longaberger dealer for 6 years and during that time collected over 200 baskets. So I decided to go through my baskets and all the scrapbooking stuff and have a yard sale and list on EBay.

I made $1387 at the yardsale and still listing on EBay. I had put this off for so long but now I'm glad I finally did it. I still have to go through the kids clothes and my closets.

Wow! That is great- much better than having all that sit around. Think how much people are enjoying the things you sold

This is great!!

I'm also in the decluttering mood and the more I declutter the easier it gets. I finally did the basket sitting by the phone (this is like our junk drawer - where everything you think you will need one day ends up). Almost everything went in the garbage except our favorite restaurant's menus.

Also prepared a huge garbage bag full of clothes to give to charity.

Next...

Woo hoo! I tackled the toy box in our family room and the sea of toys in the porch. I threw anything with missing pieces away. Last week I tackled the fridge and freezer. Next, I'll do DS's room and then I'll tackle the big problems -- DD's clothes and our boxes and piles of books. Those will be a HUGE jobs.

I cleaned out our silverware drawer. Bought a new organizer and placed a nice apple liner in it.

I took all the winter clothes that were hanging in our 3 bedroom closets and brought them to the storage closet upstairs...then I brought down all the summer clothes.

I removed all the summer clothes from the storage closet that I was not going to wear and put them in the good will boxes. I will do the same when I switch the winter clothes.

I'm in the process of decluttering the big pile of papers that has been lying around forever in my kitchen. So far I found my husband's new Visa card he forgot to activate, my school taxes that had to be paid by August 8th & various coupons I had put in that pile. The rest will go in the filling cabinet or in the recycling bin.

I had to take a break so I came to mommysavers for a while.

It's nice out so I'm heading there afterwards, the kids are at their grandparent's house for the day:happy dance:
