I love water and usually only drink tap. I do buy bottled gallon size water to keep on hand for emergency use. I usually have reg bottles for guests.

I think people are missing out an important feature of tap water besides floride. we get trace minerals vital for living cells. we usually get zinc, magnesium and others via tap water.

We live in a city, where the water has a VERY funky taste. I only drink Poland Spring. I give the same to DD. The pediatrician wants me to use tap water for the baby because of the fluoride in it, but I boil the heck out of it first. DH, however, is a man's man and will only drink tap water LOL!

My MIL in Illinois has that nasty Sulfer water! Yuck, i hate taking showers at her house.
I'm lucky that our city water here tastes great, i drink it all the time!!
My mother tells me their is a link between too much flouride and chlorine in city water and hypothyroidism(which i have) but i am not sure i believe that,i keep drinking it anyway!

When I worked, I would buy a bottle of water out of the vending machine and refill it for weeks with water fountain water until the bottle became "worn out." Other than that, we have a Culligan pitcher in our fridge and I fill up bottles that I have bought on clearance at walmart with that filtered water. I keep 3 or 4 filled in the fridge and just grab from there all day. I hate spending money on water, when I have the cheaper version at home, lol.

We use water from our door of our fridge. It's filtered and it's probably better than some bottled water ( a lot of bottled water is just tap water bottled in a fancy bottle)...We only buy bottled water when we go on vacation- then it's stuff like store brand water. I hate to spend $$ on something that we can just get unlimited amounts of at home...

im in total agreement here. where i live, there are alot of wealthy new yorkers and posh socialites, and believe me, the main diet here is bottled water and leek (haha ok that was a joke but sometimes it seems true). that is what i see people buying the most. it is definitely a status symbol (although i don't use it as such, i use it because of convenience).

i spend a GOOD deal of my day shopping for deals and savings, and let me tell ya, people buy lots of diet friendly foods and bottled water. and most of those people have status and wealth, be it in the business world or the entertainment world.
