I only go grocery shopping 1-2 times a month. For that, I go to the grocery store for about 45 minutes and Costco for about 20 minutes.

I also go to Target once every week or two. I usually spend about an hour to an hour and a half there. I don't actually spend that much. I scour clearance racks and the scrapbooking and baby sections.

My biggest problem is the craft stores. Between the scrapbook store, JoAnns, and Michael's, I probably spend about 2 hours a week in a combination of the three. Oy!

My grocery trip is usually about 45 minutes.

Trips to Target, fabric store, mall etc. are counted as outings with my daughter and/or walks. Seriously.

Every Friday (start of sales) I grocery shop for about 30-45 minutes.

I browse on-line about 2 hours a week.

I do my grocery shopping at Meijer, where I buy other items to - once a week, major shopping about1 - 1.5 hours. Once a week, little pick ups about 20 minutes. Online, about 30 minutes per week.

So, total: 1-2.5 hours max, unless it is a special event: this week I have birthdays for my husband and my niece - I spent about 3 hours shopping for them combined, but I had to drive to another city for stores my city doesn't have, so actual shopping time was less than that.

I do my major grocery shopping once a month. The grocery store I shop at offers 10% off your grocery order on the first Tuesday of every month. I'm doing my shopping tomorrow. I stock up on everything for the freezer, baking supples and they usually have some pretty good sales. Also if you spend $35 on groceries you get a gas discount of 7 cents off every litre.
I usually have to buy milk once a week and top up on fresh fruit and veggies every other week. My big shop takes me about an hour and may another 20 minutes a week if I have to stop and get milk or veg.

I live in a small town, we have 2 grocery stores, a Dollar General and then some specialty type shops. My point is, I don't have to go to Walmart or Target every week. If I have the boys it takes me an hour to do the grocery shopping, but when I'm alone it only takes about 30 minutes. That's going to Dollar General and a grocery store. I love it without the kids because I hate being in the store! lol
