I WISH my library would do this! They are so fare behind as far as technology goes. They're pretty far behind on new releases, too.

I love our library. We have the self checkouts, the printed receipt, the online reserves, reminders, and a drive-thru for reserve pickups and book return. This place is so advanced there is a Starbucks in the lobby.

Oh gosh...our library has been doing that for years. I love our online catalog system, like others have mentioned we too can see what books are checked out, see when they're due (get reminder 'courtesy' notices when they're due in 3 days), you can renew online, request books from other libraries online (you get an email when it gets to your library and is ready for pick up)...I love the library!

Sheesh- some of you have libraries I can only dream of! I want a reserve book drive through...Wah!

LOVE those self checkouts! Ours has had them for a few years now, and also sends the emails. Makes it so easy. That, and online book renewals, and requests. It's all so ncie and easy!
